The Tiberi Tapes, were captured by musician Frank Tiberi during Coltrane club performances in a variety of Philadelphia and New York City venues, in the early 1960s. These historic recordings offer an intimate glimpse into Coltrane’s evolving artistry and have become an important addition to the documented legacy of one of jazz’s most influential musicians.

The program features commentary by Coltrane Home Board member and internationally recognized Coltrane scholar Yasuhiro “Fuji” Fujioka, whose extensive research and writing on Coltrane provide unique insight into the recordings, their historical context, and their significance within the saxophonist’s body of work.
