Ars Nova Workshop is excited to present Anthony Tidd’s Mono-Stereo at Solar Myth on Saturday, June 13.

Anthony Tidd is a creative musician, composer, producer, educator and curator who over a 30 year career has notably performed with, and produced songs on multi-platinum albums for, many artists including; The Roots, Steve Coleman, Meshell Ndegeocello, David Byrne, Macy Gray, Wayne Krantz, Zap Mama, Rudresh Mahanthappa, Lady Gaga, The Black Eyed Peas, Orrin Evans, Fergie, Jill Scott, Ursula Rucker, and many more. His debut album, Quite Sane – The Child of Troubled Times (2002), which fuses elements of hip-hop and funk with jazz, quickly became a modern staple within creative music circles. In recent years he has revisited the still-cutting edge, beyond-genre project. Since 2022 he has also served as Ars Nova Workshop’s Chief Creative catalyst.

At Solar Myth Tidd will lead this all-star quartet, a group comprising four of modern creative music’s most inventive and imaginative musicians. Joining Tidd will be saxophonists Steve Lehman and Mark Shim and drummer Damion Reid – all of whom share intertwined histories, collaborations and interests, as well as intersections with the foundational M-Base Collective.
