Ars Nova Workshop presents the master percussionist, improviser and composer Adam Rudolph with his Sunrise Trio at Solar Myth on Friday, October 24, 2025.

Adam Rudolph has been hailed as “a pioneer in world music” by The New York Times, and “a master percussionist” by Musician magazine. He has released over 25 recordings under his own name, featuring his compositions and percussion work. Rudolph leads and composes for the ensembles Moving Pictures, Hu: Vibrational, and Go: Organic Orchestra, an 18 to 54 piece group for which he has developed an original music notation and conducting system. He has also performed with Don Cherry, Jon Hassell, Sam Rivers, Pharaoh Sanders, L. Shankar, Fred Anderson, Muhal Richard Abrams, Wadada Leo Smith, and Omar Sosa, and toured and recorded extensively with the legendary Yusef Lateef. At Solar Myth, Rudolph will lead his Sunrise Trio, featuring longtime members of the Go: Organic Orchestra: Kaoru Watanabe (taiko, Japanese percussion, noh kan and fue flutes, electric koto, processing), and Alexis Marcelo (piano, electric keyboards, kudu horn, percussion).
