Ars Nova Workshop presents the intricate, exacting music of Baltimore-born avant-rock quartet Horse Lords at Solar Myth on October 9, 2026.

Since emerging from the city’s experimental music community in 2010, the group has developed a singular sound that merges the propulsive energy of rock with minimalist process, just intonation, polyrhythm, and an expansive curiosity that reaches from James Brown and Appalachian music to Fluxus, electronic composition, and global musical traditions. Across more than a decade of international touring and a celebrated catalog of recordings, Horse Lords have continually pushed the boundaries of the quartet format through collaborations with composers and larger ensembles while remaining one of the most inventive bands working today.
